桃子视频 students have the chance to gain valuable work experience and earn an income that can cover some of the cost of academic and living expenses. Through the universities鈥 Federal Work Study (FWS) Program, Student Temp Services (STS) Programs, and the Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC)
On-campus positions are highly competitive and vary by semester if you are interested in working, we recommend applying for positions early. FWS and STS positions are posted on , for assistance with completing an application or locating jobs on Handshake connect with Career Services for assistance.
Hiring Information
Federal Work-Study (FWS)
Jobs funded through the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program are open only to students awarded FWS in their Financial Aid award letter. Click here for instructions on how to check your web for students and view your Award. If you would like to be considered for FWS jobs and do not have an award, connect with Financial Aid, 4th floor Whipple Administration building, or finaid@morrisville.edu.
FWS employees are paid for actual hours worked at a rate of $16.00/hour. The number of hours per week a student can work varies based on their FWS award. Typically, students are able to work around 5 hours per week for the full semester to ensure they do not exceed their allotment amount.
Please note that unlike grants, loans, and scholarships, FWS awards cannot be credited towards outstanding balances due on your student bill.
Departments that offer FWS positions vary from year to year, but typically range from student services spaces including Butcher Library, CyberLab/Student Business Center, and Tutoring Center; office settings such as Deans, Provost, and Registrar offices; athletics-related departments; and academic support facilities, including our aquaculture center, dairy complex, and greenhouse/horticulture institute.
Student Temp Service
Student Temp Service (STS) jobs are open to all students, but typically require specific experience or skill, with a limited number having more general requirements. The pay rate is $16.00/hour. Student Temp Service jobs require an average commitment of about 5 - 10 hours a week and are generally either for a semester or the full academic year. Student Temp workers are able to work additional hours with approval from their supervisor as long as it does not exceed 29 hours per week.

Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC)
MAC, a separate legal entity who's mission is to support 桃子视频, hires for student support in Seneca Dining Hall, Mustang Alley, Smooth Jazzy Joz cafe, Pit Stop, and other service areas. MAC is the largest student employer on campus and offers the greatest number of weekend and evening hours.

You will need to upload your 鈥淲eek at a Glance鈥 schedule for the current/upcoming semester when you apply. Empire State Service Corps
If you have a desire to do good and make a difference, you can get hands-on experience and serve your community through paid public service with the Empire State Service Corps (ESSC).
Through the Empire State Service Corps, participating SUNY students engage in paid community service work for 300 hours over the course of a year. Assignments could include tutoring in high-need K-12 schools, taking climate action working with leading State agencies, disaster relief and mitigation after severe weather events, working as a student success coach with an organization, and support for regional food banks and SNAP outreach to address food insecurity.
These internships allow SUNY students to be paid for meaningful work that can provide lifelong skills as well as service to their community.

Required Documents for Employment
Federal law requires that you present proof of your identification and your authorization to work in the U.S. before you can begin employment. All documents must be originals and current; photocopies and expired documents will not be accepted. Ensure that you have the following documents with you when completing onboarding and paperwork with Human Resources.
Proof of identification: one of the following:
- Photo identification such as a 桃子视频 ID card, Driver鈥檚 license, US Military card, or State or Federal ID card that includes a photo
AND
Proof of work authorization: one of the following
- Social Security card, Original or certified copy of your birth certificate, US passport, Alien Registration Card, Native American Tribal Document, or Certification of Birth Abroad issued by the US Department of State
* If you have already been on the 桃子视频 payroll under your current name and work authorization status, you do not have to resubmit the aforementioned documentation.
Direct Deposit/Pay Stub
You have the option to elect for your paycheck to be directly deposited to your bank account. To complete this process please bring a void check or a direct deposit form from your bank for the account that you would like your paycheck deposited into. If you chose to not select direct deposit option, your paycheck will be mailed to your home address on file or the address that you have provided to Human Resources.
Payroll Schedule
Federal Work-Study and Student Temp Service employees are paid every two weeks. There is a delay of up to five weeks in receiving your first paycheck after you start working, then a two-week lag time for subsequent pay periods.
