About ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ
ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ, founded in 1908 as the New York State School of Agriculture, is a vibrant institution nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Central New York located just under 30 miles from the major cities of Syracuse and Utica. ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ has expanded its offerings beyond traditional agriculture and technical programs over the last decades, now offering associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in over 50 disciplines. The institution is searching for its ninth President to lead ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ into its next era. The institution and SUNY system have invested significant resources over the last several years in facilities, strategic planning, and restructuring in order to reposition the institution to thrive in the coming years. As such, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an institution as President at a time that it is already on an upward trajectory, with several consecutive years of enrollment growth, success in meeting or exceeding fundraising objectives, and numerous student, faculty, and success accomplishments that have garnered local, regional, and national attention.

Search Process Overview
What is the process for selecting a new President?
The Presidential Search process is conducted in accordance with SUNY guidelines. The legal authority to appoint the President or Chief Administrative Officer of a State-operated institution of the State University of New York is vested in the Board of Trustees by Section 355(2)(g) of the Education Law. The College Council of each such institution is given responsibility for recommending a candidate or candidates to the SUNY Chancellor and Board of Trustees.
How is the search conducted?
WittKieffer, a national executive search firm, has been retained to guide the search from start to finish. They will engage the search committee regularly, conduct listening sessions with the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ community, recruit candidates, seek feedback, and provide counsel throughout the process. A Presidential Search Committee will review candidate materials and conduct first-round and semi-finalist interviews. The search committee will recommend semi-finalists to College Council, who will then recommend finalists to the Chancellor and Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees will approve and announce the new President.
