Morrisville State College freshman Greg Johnsmeyer (West Hurley, N.Y) was the first rookie to cross the finish line at Saturday's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championships held at SUNY Cobleskill, earning him the NEAC's inaugural Rookie of the Year award.
Johnsmeyer finished fifth overall out of 86 runners at the 8K Men's NEAC Championship with a time of 29:44.16, leading the Mustangs to a 3rd place finish overall. The fifth place finish also earned him All-Conference first team honors.
Morrisville State College had five earn North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Cross Country All-Conference honors following their performance at the conference championships.
